Cash for Kids is Northsound Radio’s listener charity. Each year it hopes to raise £100,000 to make grants to children’s groups, organisations and projects throughout the Northsound transmission area.
On Friday the 7th of November right after the Kart Racing Laura and I will be heading up to The Greenfern Bakery in Mastrick to serve behind the counter for Cash For Kids. It’s my fifth year behind the counter and it’s always great fun.
There’s not a week of the year goes by without money being raised for Cash for Kids and it all comes from Northsound listeners and Cash for Kids supporters.
Sir Tom Hunter has given his backing to the Cash for Kids charities and pledged 4 million over the next 10 years. The cash will be used to underwrite 50% of the running costs for the charities to ensure we can help more underprivileged children across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
